Sports data comes in two main forms:
Statistical data is the most obvious, and most common, kind of sports data. It includes things like scores, player statistics, team statistics, etc. The most obvious examples are things like football (soccer) scores, baseball boxscores and NBA scores. Structural data is a bit more subtle, but it’s actually far more important. Although the structural data is often very well hidden, it can have an enormous impact on how sports are played and fitness is tracked.
